This coyote was caught in a snare. Any culvert is a great place to make a snare set. This particular one was perfect with the fence forcing the animal to funnel even more to the set. Funneling will usually help with any set - especially when it's a natural funnel. Though snaring animals is generally considered to be "mean", a good set is both safe for the animal and highly efficient. Any seasoned trapper knows the value of a good snare set and should have it as part of their arsenal. |
