Leghold traps have been used for a long time and though they are much maligned and generally frowned upon by the public, they are actually not nearly as bad as one would think. Since the contact point is the foot, a good set will hold the target animal securely yet not do much if any damage. In the picture above, you see a fox which looks to be quite relaxed. The trapper found it napping after being caught the night before. This fox was not injured nor stressed out even though it was leg trapped. In fact, it looks quite content. |
